What is Microsoft most stable desk top platform? We still think it is Windows 2000 Professional! We constantly see updated for Windows XP and we have found many incompatibilities between it and older legacy software (both windows and DOS types) that we fee we can not recommend XP in an environment that requires mission critical applications. Stay tune, we believe Microsoft is working very hard to change their current "patch dujour" policy and make XP their must have software platform. We value your opinion.
